Bonnie Hislop, a Brisbane-based artist, specializes in vibrant, illustrative ceramics. Starting her practice at age 8 through amateur classes, she later taught herself hand building in her mid-twenties. Now, she teaches this freeform clay sculpting technique to budding ceramicists from her home studio. Her work, a blend of functional and sculptural pieces, features bright colors and femme motifs, bridging contemporary art and craft. When she's not working my home studio, she can be found regularly teaching workshops, attending markets, chatting about creative process and collaborating with like- minded makers and organisations.
